Set amidst the lush gardens of Kumarakom Lake Resort, Elizabeth and Akshay’s Haldi was a joyful tribute to Kerala’s cultural richness, infused with color, tradition, and vibrant celebration. The decor embraced radiant yellows in blooms and design, complemented by traditional Kerala-style furniture and touches that brought authenticity to every detail.

The celebration was steeped in local flavor and artistry—featuring Shinkari Melam, appearances by Mahabali, and captivating Kathakali performances. The highlight of the day was a breathtaking Ganga Aarti performed by Pandits flown in from Varanasi, blessing the couple on the tranquil waters of Kumarakom.

Guests were treated to refreshing tender coconuts, Neer Moru, live fruit stalls, chaayakada, chaat counters, and a curated sit-down Rajasthani Thali lunch. The event also offered interactive engagements like a bangle stall, Mehendi artists, kids’ zone, Tug of War, Uriyadi, and lively dance-offs—adding playful energy to this meaningful celebration.
